Our slow fashion concept is realized in our decision of not following the typical fashion cycle where new clothes and accessories are made every season - Vakigrad only starts a production if the design of our accessory is excellent.

 

Sadly it is not possible for a fashion company to be 100% sustainable yet, but it is possible to do as much as you can to improve your sustainable approach and become more sustainable working towards it step by step.

 

 

Our steps have been to find sustainable materials as vegetable tanned leather which is tanned with bark, flowers, and everything natural from the lush forests. Vegetable tanned leathers are known to be of the lowest impact on the environment, and we want to do everything in our power to be environmentally friendly.

Our linning is certified with the EU-ecolabel, we use GOTS certified cotton fabric for our dust bags, ribbon certified with the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® and deliver it all in an FSC certified box. Read more about our cleaner materials here.

 

We still have a long way to go in becoming even more sustainable but the path is set, and our steps are loud.
