Through our sustainable principle product quality for longevity, Vakigrad aims at increasing the lifecycle of our products. Zippers have an overall impact of the usability, because once broken the usability of the entire leather bag decreases. Further, broken zippers are difficult to replace and consequently product quality for longevity, among other factors, depends on high quality zippers.
For Vakigrad's collection of bags, we have decided to contract with zippers made by YKK that meets the UK Standards of Durability and pass the Japanese Standards Association strength tests. The zippers basic strength can be determined based on the results of inspection methods, from which overall strength appropriate for respective uses can be judged by chain crosswise strength; slider tab pull off strength; and slider tab twisting strength.
We take honor in employing zippers that stand these tests because zippers that last longer enhances the product quality for longevity of our bags. And that is essential to meet our ambition of making superior sustainable leather goods.
