VEGETABLE TANNED LEATHER 

Vakigrad’s leather is designed and tanned in Italy with vegetable extracts from bark, leaves and root vegetables in replacement for hazardous chemicals that cause health risks for humans and damage to the environment. This natural tanning process is called vegetable-tanning.

 

We use the finest top grain leather for all our designs, which ensures the longevity we want in a leather good and the luxurious look and feel for every hedonist.

 

The vegetable tanning process preserves the beautiful marks and veins of the hide that have occurred naturally. As such, any of our leather goods are unique making each piece one of a kind. 

 

The leather will have a hard feel in the beginning, as it travels the world by your side, the leather will acquire a softer look and feel.

LINING

Our linen is made from a microfiber that holds the European Union certification EU-Ecolabel.

DUSTBAG

Our dustbags are made from organic cotton that holds the GOTS certification where chemicals used must meet strict criteria and a proper wastewater treatment. Our VAKIGRAD signature ribbon is certified with the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®. The certification is a comprehensive, testing and certification system for harmful substances in textile products at all stages of production. Test criteria are updated annually and go far beyond existing legal regulations.

Our box packaging is FSC certified. FSC certification ensures that products come from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social and economic benefits.
